Warm Lemon & Water
A simple glass of warm water & lemon can do wonders for the hard working busy women & mom!
Dina from Prevention.com tried & tested this theory for two weeks and found she had:
Better skin
“But by week two I started to notice a slight improvement in my skin. A few trouble spots had cleared up, and when I looked in the mirror my complexion did seem to be less dull and more vibrant. “[ref]https://www.prevention.com/food/2-cups-of-lemon-water-every-day/[/ref]
Less Bloating
At first I wasn’t sure if my lemon water habit was doing anything, but after a few days I noticed I was less bloated.[ref]https://www.prevention.com/food/2-cups-of-lemon-water-every-day[/ref]
More motivation to stick to healthy goals
After starting my day with something as healthy as lemon water, I felt more inclined to stick with workouts, eat clean foods, and pass on caloric drinks like orange juice and soda.
A slightly better mood
That said, maybe it was the pound I lost or just the confidence that came from sticking to a health-focused plan for 2 weeks, but I did feel, mentally, just a little bit lighter.[ref]https://www.prevention.com/food/2-cups-of-lemon-water-every-day[/ref]
Although Diana wasn’t sick at the time – it’s also known that a lil’ lemon can help combat the cold!
Out of all the morning routines, this one is the easiest! And it can has some impressive benefits!
I love drinking lemon water. A really useful tool is a Manual Citrus Press Juicer. This one got rated 5 starts with over 2,000 reviews!! So instead of getting your hands sticky squeezing lemon every day, this makes it an even QUICKER morning routine.
Matcha Tea
Matcha Tea is another morning routine that has SO many benefits and takes the least amount of time (after lemon water!).
You can try swapping your coffee or usual tea for Matcha. Or you can add it in your daily morning juicer for an even quicker alternative.
Matcha’s become a bit of a fad now but all for good reasons. As it says on Drs. Buzz Or Bust for social media trends – this one’s a buzz!

Meditation
I always thought that meditation had to be a 20 or 30 minute exercise. One day I got sick of setting limits on myself on how long I should and shouldn’t do something because of everything I’ve read.
Instead, I decided to do what worked for me. So I sat down and I meditated. I didn’t time it and I didn’t worry about how long I did it for. I just focused on the fact that I had done it.
Sometimes five minutes was enough. Some days I do more.
Try 5 minutes of meditation. My biggest tip is as soon as you wake up, try it.
Here’s some meditations I’ve found to use as part of your morning routines:

5 Minutes of Exercise
One of the hardest routines to start is a an exercise routine! So why not try with 5 minutes of exercise first? Maybe that’s all we need just to start.

5 Minutes Of Reading
This has been one of the best morning routines I’ve ever adopted. I love reading non-fiction, but I find it’s hard to read them before bed because I end up doing a mind workout instead of calming down.
The best thing I ever did was start reading with my morning Matcha. Admittedly I gave myself half an hour but that doesn’t mean that 5 minutes can’t be as valuable.
So that book that you’ve always wanted to read but never got to it? Take it out and leave it on the kitchen bench! Give yourself 5 minutes a day to get reading and see how you feel.

Dry brushing
I’ve seen dry brushing come up quite a bit! And I always wondered what it was that made dry brushing so amazing. But it seems there’s heaps to it.
Dry brushing can:
- Help to increase lymph node flow which helps detoxify the body
- Exfoliate
- Clean out your pores & make them smaller
- Help with cellulite
- Boost energy
Wellness Mama has a great post on how to dry brush your skin.
