The feeling of anxiety is an emotion and like any emotion while we can try to avoid how we’re feeling, it usually comes up. So much of what I’ve read about meditation, mindfulness and yoga tells us not to try and avoid these feeling but instead learn how to deal with them. Life throws us so many challenges, it’s impossible for us to NOT feel stress, anger, anxiety or sadness at some point. Yoga for anxiety is a great way to monitor and take action on those feelings.
Practicing yoga poses for anxiety and depression during difficult times is a great way to try and deal with the emotions that can come up. I’m still a beginner at yoga but I have learnt that the days I start off with yoga, I feel a lot better. It’s about getting that energy consciously moving in your body.
There is so much yoga for anxiety and panic attacks available online. One of my favourite YouTubers is Adriene. If you’re an absolute beginner and looking for the best type of yoga for anxiety I highly recommend her. Her pace is easy to follow. She’s funny and really down to earth which gives an inviting tone to her classes.
Below are some yoga videos that I highly recommend:
