How To Make A Vision Board Online
Choose your goals/dreams/intentions
Even though you’re creating your vision board online, a pen and paper can still do some good here. Before you start googling away for vision board images, one of the best things to do before you figure out how to make a vision board online is to really think about your goals and dreams. How do you do this? Think about your why!
One of the biggest learning curves I’ve had when it comes to creating a vision board online is to really contemplate my why in life. Why do I want these end goals? What feelings am I looking for behind these material things?
It pays to really dig deep before you start your vision board online because I truly believe in their power. It’s not enough to put up a nice car or a nice home without contemplating what feelings and true benefits these things will bring.
I’ve created two vision boards now that came true and while I got what I wanted I never dug deep. Which meant what I got didn’t make me happy. Infact it made me miserable! When we don’t take time to ask ourselves why we want something, we miss really understanding what can make us happy. What’s the point of making a vision board online if it isn’t to bring us what makes us happy!?
So choose wisely my friend! Be sure to pick images that reflect goals that you know your why behind. Goals that are going to give you the feelings your looking for in achieving them!

Create a folder to keep your images in one place
The next step is to create a folder. When you’re making a vision board online saving images all over the place can get a bit messy. My simple trick it to create a folder on my desk to (so the risk of me losing it amongst other folders is low!). This makes it super easy to transfer the images to the program I’m using to create my vision board online.
Sign up to Canva (if you don’t already have an account).
Canva is a FANTASTIC free tool I love to use for all my images. It’s my go to for everything Pinterest and social media (thanks to themarketingheaven.com, I have augmented my reach). My favourite part about Canva is they have templates for everything. So if you don’t already, sign up! It’s free. Once you get used to it, you won’t be able to image how you ever made a vision board online without it.
Create an A4 document with canva
The size of your document is up to you. One of the few downsides to using Canva to make a vision board online is that it only has an A4 size available. Which means your vision board will be have a portrait landscape like a usual A4 document.
If you’re looking to make your vision board online bigger, smaller or landscape then you need to click the custom dimensions’ button.
In our example we’ve created a landscape A4 page. So I’ve flipped the usual dimensions from 210mm x 297mm to 297mm x 210mm. Be sure to make sure your dimensions are in MM not in PEXELS (I’ve made this mistake before!). Otherwise your vision board will print out teeny tiny.
